LOCATION

Preston Riverwalk is located at the epicenter of Southeast Connecticut Tourism Region.  Conveniently situated at the intersection of Routes 2a and 12, the site provides direct frontage along the Thames River and is directly across from Mohegan Sun Resort & Casino.

Twenty-seven million people reside within a 2.5-hour drive to the site.

South of the site in New London, there is a State Pier facility capable of handling large cargo deliveries, large cruise ships, and other intensive marine activities.

Included in the Tourism Region is  Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, US Naval Sub Base, US Coast Guard Academy, Connecticut College and New London ferries and cruise ships.  Foxwoods Casino and Resort is approximately 8 miles from the site via Routes 2 & 2a.

Major area employers include Mohegan Sun Resort & Casino, Foxwoods Resort & Casino, Pfizer, General Dynamics/Electric Boat, US Coast Guard, Naval Submarine Base, Lawrence & Memorial Hospital, William H. Backus Hospital.
